Chapter Eleven - Dog Training Commands

It doesn't matter what commands you choose for your dog. If you want your dog to sit when you say “pickle” or lie down when you say “Sally” you can do that. You merely train your dog the same way that I have outlined but substitute your own words. There are many people that like to train their dogs in foreign languages. It can be a neat parlor trick to have your dog obey another language. Others like to do this because they want to be the only ones who can give their dogs commands. Others do it because it is a fun way to train.

I have trained dogs in several languages including: Spanish, German, Czech, French, and Greek and I can tell you from experience that it does not matter what language you choose. What does matter is your consistency with the dog training principles that I have taught you.
